The World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates is internationally renown as the most important annual event in peace-building, as it brings together high-profile Nobel Peace Laureate leaders, organizations, students and university professors from around the world.

Since 1999, the Summit is held annually in different cities around the world which are symbolic for world peace; such cities have included Paris (on account of the Human Rights Declaration), Berlin (as a result of the German reunification) and Hiroshima (because of nuclear disarmament), among others.
