Since 1998 the CCB has been conducting this Perception and Victimization Survey as a means to determine which factors can shed additional light on the official figures on the city's crime rate, as well as to analyze the different factors affecting citizen safety and security.

The results of the surveys, the related recommendations and conclusions reached by the CCB are used as input data by City Hall in the definition and adjustment of public policies. The
