Measuring Innovation in Bogotá and Cundinamarca

The CCB conducts periodic, regional measurements on innovation for Bogotá and Cundinamarca

Since 2005, and on average every five years, the CCB together with Grupo Cinnco from Universidad Javeriana, has been carrying out a regional measurement of innovation for Bogotá and Cundinamarca; these studies allow for comparing the performance and dynamics of innovation with other regions of the world.

The guiding principle of this work is national and international comparability. Internationally, references such as the Oslo Manual are taken into account and comparability with the Community Innovation Survey (CIS) of the European Union is given priority. At the national level, comparability is maintained between the first and second Regional Innovation Surveys for the manufacturing industry that were carried out in 2005 and 2010, so that changes can be determined in the region's innovative performance.
